New Designs - Pearls, Stones, Gold-filled Wire

This post is especially for my dear friend and superlative customer, L (you know who you are!). L very kindly test-runs my designs.

Below are my latest series, which will go up on my etsy site (SuzyRocksDesigns.etsy.com) over the next three or four days, in time for three showcases: Jewelry Earrings, Thursday, June 18th (starts at 12 midnight EDT/9 pm PDT, June 17th, which is tonight!); Jewelry, Sunday, June 21st (starts at 12 midnight EDT/9 pm PDT, June 20th); and the Main showcase (the biggie) on the same Saturday/Sunday. These showcases are accessed from etsy's front page (etsy.com) and are a wonderful way for etsy sellers to market their goods. Last night I was cruising around the site, enjoying the splendor that is etsy creativity, and there on the front page was a glorious set of ceramic bowls that inspired me to write the shop and gush all over them. The shop is clearmountaincraft.etsy.com - look for the Poppy Bowl Nesting Set in brown and turquoise and see how long it takes you to leap for your credit card!

I also listed them among my favorites, so they can be accessed that way - go to my site and click on Favorites on the right-hand side of the front page. Voila!

Now, pretty pictures:

La Lune Series
These are white freshwater pearls, almost teardrop-shaped, dangling on gold-filled wire.
The ear wires are also gold-filled, which is generally hypoallergenic
and a big step above either gold-plating or vermeil
for durability and wearability.

Pearl Cluster Series
Three pale yellow, asymmetrical pearls joined together
on nylon-coated 925 silver jewelry wire.
Sterling silver ear wires.

Pearl Cluster Series
As above, but these pretty pearls are white.

EarHugs: Gold-Filled
These little babies are cousins of my regular 'Hugs.
The main difference is that I'm using gold-filled wire, but the stones are also a little more formal and - dare I say it - blingy! I haven't decided yet on whether to offer this series as a three-pair set - I probably won't, but may list them as made-to-order, with a discount on three or more. Must decide. . .soon! In the meantime, the ones shown in the above image are:
Pink freshwater pearls, swarovski crystals
Pale yellow pearls, tiny faceted citrine rondelles
Faceted smoky topaz rondelles, swarovski crystals
All are on hand-formed and lightly hammered gold-filled wire. The way I formed and hammered these wires prevents the beads from falling off, so I feel they're a step above my original EarHug concept. (I really love these!)
I'll be doing some in silver as well.

Hooplets!
3/4" gold-filled hoops with lapis and kyanite beads. More to come of these sweet little guys! I'm working on sparkly citrine dangling drops right now.

Those are my new series, which hopefully will become staples in my permanent line. I'm eager for your feedback!

And now for something completely different. . . A Special Preview!

Below are several one-off pieces - I may or may not put them up this week.

Morrocan Nights
Gold pearls on oxidized copper, 2-1/2" from the base of the niobium ear wires.

Empress
These smooth, regal Muscovite teardrops remind me of crushed raspberries and cream. I have struggled to describe the color of this stone, so finally settled on that. They are about 3/4" long, wrapped in sterling silver wire with sterling silver ear wires.

No Name Yet
One round, one barrel in blue speckled glass with faceted aventurine drops. Sterling silver.

Ladies of the Canyon
Turquoise beads, smoky topaz chips, turquoise pearls on sterling silver wire and ear wires. 1-1/2" from base of ear wires.
Hopefully I'll have several more ready by Saturday night. Please take a peek!
